How Apollo 11 - 17 Went to the moon (Showed on pic below para.)
Of course they took off in a rocket. Parts broke off and became MM. The LM broke off of the CM. The LM went to the moon and the CM stayed in Lunar orbit (Lunar = Moon). The LM broke off of the landing thing and eventually reconnected to the CM and they returned safely to Earth. The landing thing stayed on the Moon, six of them (Apollo 13 didn't make it to the moon).
